Electricity is a section of the energy sector that ensures the electrification of the country based on the rational expansion of the production and use of electrical energy. Electricity is an energy sector that includes the production, transmission and sale of electricity. Modern electric power industry is a unique combination of classical and alternative methods of generating energy. In connection with the gradual depletion of the earth's resources, the search for other sources has become a priority in the development of the entire industry. Of course, the established methods do not lose their relevance, however, they are also undergoing changes and optimization in order to increase their efficiency.
The environmental factor plays an important role: all modern developments are aimed not only at stimulating productivity growth, but also at causing minimal damage to the environment.

Ecology as a science has its roots in the distant past. Gradually, mankind accumulated data on the relationship of living organisms with their habitat, and the first scientific generalizations were made. The birth and formation of ecology as a science took place until the 60s. ofXIX century .It was only in 1886 that the German biologist Ernst Haeckel singled out ecological knowledge as an independent field of biological science, proposing for it the name- ecology. The word "ecology" comes from two Greek words: oikos, which means home, homeland, and logos - concept, teaching. In the literal sense, ecology is “home science”, “habitat science”.
There were at least 50 different branches of ecology (for example, special ecology, geoecology, geoinformatics, applied ecology, human ecology; these branches, in turn, are also divided into sub-branches). Conventionally, the directions of ecology can be divided into two main parts - general, or fundamental, ecology, which studies all living nature as a whole, and social ecology, which studies the relationship of human society with nature. They determine the rules and methods of rational use of natural resources, protection of nature and the human environment.
Modernization of the agricultural sector
In the modern world, agriculture is one of the leading sectors of the agro-industrial complex, which significantly stands out among other sectors of the economy. Almost 75% of consumer goods in current conditions are products produced in agriculture.
The main tasks of modernization are to ensure the innovative development of the agricultural sector, i.e. provision of agricultural producers with progressive technologies, computerization of marketing and sales activities.
The largest hydrocarbon basins of Azerbaijan are located on the shelf of the Caspian Sea. The first reliable information about oil production on the Absheron Peninsula, where Baku is located, dates back to the 7th and 8th centuries. And by the end of the 19th century, the rise in the oil industry attracted significant investment and stimulated the construction of new plants and factories. Proved oil reserves in Azerbaijan for 2016 amount to 7 billion barrels. This is the 20th place in the world and about 0.4% of the total world oil reserves. Azerbaijan's proven reserves are 199.8 times higher than the annual consumption. If this country did not sell its "black gold" abroad, its reserves would be enough for 200 years. The country produces 843,546 barrels of oil per day (2016), ranking 24th in the world, consumes 96,000 barrels of oil per day (2016), and exports 78% of its production (654,629 barrels per day in 2016).
